The Kendama is an extremely addictive wooden skill toy that originated in Japan. It strengthens hand eye coordination, balance, and reflex. It can be played by young and old alike. There are endless trick possibilities for both the beginner and the seasoned master. The game has increased in popularity and is played by people in countries all across the globe.

The Kendama is made up of the “Ken” (handle) and the “Tama” (ball), which is connected by a string.  The Kendama tricks are done by variations of juggling the ball in the 3 cups, spiking the ball with the Ken spike, and balancing both in new creative ways.  Mastering the Kendama takes practice, focus, patience, and creativity.

This seems to be the biggest craze right now. I am starting to see them everywhere and everyone seems to be in love with them. Wow, it seems like the holidays are coming up so quickly. I was lost in thought this afternoon and I realized that it is almost time for Thanksgiving dinner. This is one of my favorite holidays. Pretty soon I will be preparing a huge feast so that all of my relatives and close friends can come over to watch football, lounge around my house and eat to their hearts content.

This is also the time I love to stock up on lots of prank and gag items. I know, I know. It sounds mean. But it's all in good fun. You would think that after so many years of me pulling gags and jokes on them, that people would learn not to pick things up that are laying around my home. But they don't learn. And that gives me prime opportunities to get a much appreciated deep belly laugh or two.

Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating traditions of Americans. The traditional dream catcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them.
